Plymouth, MI… C&U Americas, LLC, the North American subsidiary of the C&U Group, has announced that C&U bearings prevailed in a head to head teardown analysis of bearing quality, performance, and price in an independent 3rd party study. The testing, commissioned by global financial services company, UBS Limited, and conducted by an independent lab, validates the superiority of C&U bearings and confirms that the overall quality of C&U bearings has caught up with leading competitive brands, worldwide.
Independent tear down analysis
C&U bearings were tested against leading bearing makers using a proprietary bearing tear down analysis performed as a standard Source Qualification Inspection by a specialized independent laboratory in the U.S. The bearings that were tested are typically used in automotive applications for medium sized utility trucks and in small gearboxes and conveyor idlers used in industrial applications.
The test compared the identical bearing type (6208-2RS) from four suppliers: 1) SKF, 2) FAG (Schaeffler), 3) C&U (China), 4) ZEN (China), as purchased from the same aftermarket distributor. SKF and FAG were found to be largely comparable. But according to the test report, Chinese supplier, C&U, provided a very high-quality bearing overall that exceeded SKF and FAG in particular on the dimensional analyses and the seal design, which has important implications for expected lifetime. The Zen bearings fared less favorably in the comparison. The results support the fact that C&U has effectively distanced themselves in terms of quality as compared to other Chinese bearing brands.

In addition to quality and performance, C&U bearings scored very high on value as well. C&U bearings were available at a lower price than both the SKF and FAG equivalent bearings.
