C&U Bearings for Off-Road applications
C&U designs and manufactures a range of bearings that are ideal for use in many off-road applications including construction, mining, and agriculture. The bearings feature advanced, robust design, superior flexibility and durability, making them highly reliable on rugged terrain and in extreme conditions.
Angular contact ball bearings
Angular contact ball bearings are designed to support high radial-axial loads at high speeds. C&U angular contact bearings are manufactured using the highest-quality materials for maximum durability and life cycle. Advanced technologies help ensure close tolerances (even at high speeds), quiet operation, and minimal friction and wear. As a result, C&U Bearings are ideal for high-demand off-road applications.
C&U manufactures high-quality, high-speed rotation, sealed ball bearings designed to meet customer requirements including those for bearing life, NVH, seals, and lubrication. Many bearings styles are available for off-highway vehicles and related equipment.
Cylindrical roller bearings
Ideal for high speeds, high temperatures and high load capacity (primarily radial), C&U cylindrical roller bearings are engineered to minimize friction and increase performance and life cycle in off-road applications. They are available in a wide range of bearing tolerances and single and double row configurations.
Deep groove ball bearings
The streamlined design of C&U deep groove ball bearings enables them to withstand high bi-directional radial and axial loads as well as composite loads. This facilitates accurate high-speed operation and low-maintenance performance. These bearings also have other structures, including rubber seals, snap ring grooves, snap rings and filling slots. Shielded deep groove ball bearings can operate without re-lubrication and maintenance. Bearings with shields are commonly used in off-highway vehicles and equipment applications.
Double-row angular contact bearings
Double row angular contact bearings support radial and bi-directional axial loads, though generally possess a lower load capacity than two single-row angular contact bearings. However, their operating life is longer, especially when used in axial load conditions. C&U double-row angular contact bearings are built for durability, optimized to reduce friction and increase tolerances. They are ideal for off-road applications.
Hybrid ceramic ball bearings
C&U hybrid ceramic ball bearings are engineered to maximize the benefits of ceramic ball and steel bearing construction, Their insulating properties eliminate the risk of electrical erosion, creating the ultimate in durability and performance. Hybrid ceramic bearings provide longer service life than all-steel bearings in most off-road applications. Hybrid ceramic bearings also generate less vibration than all-steel bearings, lowering noise levels.
Integral shaft bearings
In integral shaft bearings, the exterior bearing ring, cage and rolling elements are mounted directly onto the shaft. C&U integral shaft bearings are manufactured using the highest quality materials to ensure superior durability and reliability. They are commonly used in construction and agricultural equipment.
Mounted units & pillow blocks
Mounted units provide a stable housing for enclosed bearing installations. Pillow blocks are the most commonly used type of mounted unit, as they are made to support a rotating shaft with the mounting surface parallel to the shaft’s axis. C&U mounted bearing units are designed to be compact and extremely durable. They are well-suited for off-road applications in agriculture and construction.
C&U precision bearings are engineered using advanced technologies, high standards, and the most stringent quality assurance measures. This helps guarantee the highest levels of accuracy and rotation speeds and the ultimate in durability. In addition, our advanced manufacturing processes create precision bearings with super-quiet operation and minimum heat generation. These bearings are ideal for a variety of applications and industries and are often employed in off-road machinery.
C&U bearing rings are precision-manufactured for strength, superior fit and performance, and extended life cycle. Our bearing rings are used in a wide variety of applications, including hoist machinery, construction machinery, off-road transportation machinery, and military equipment.
Single row deep groove ball bearings
Single row deep groove bearings are the most commonly used type of roller bearing worldwide. Versatility and performance are among their most appealing features. C&U single row deep groove ball bearings maximize these features, enabling superior performance at very high speeds. They provide support for significant radial loads and moderate axial loads (in both directions). C&U single row deep groove bearings’ advanced design also makes them exceptionally quiet during operation, highly durable, and virtually maintenance free in many off-road applications.
C&U slewing bearings are designed for very large diameter applications. They can support radial and axial loads as well as tilting movements. They can be equipped with fixing bolt holes, internal or external gear, lubrication holes and sealing elements so the equipment or machinery can be designed for compactness, maneuverability, and easy of mounting and maintenance. C&U slewing bearings can be found in a variety of off-road equipment applications
Spherical roller bearings
Spherical roller bearings are designed to function in the most severe conditions. C&U spherical roller bearings are engineered to maximize the spherical roller bearing’s ability to support high load capacity, compensate for severe shaft misalignment, absorb heavy shocks, and withstand high temperatures. C&U spherical roller bearings meet ISO 15 standards and are used in a wide variety of industries and applications, including agricultural and off-road.
Spherical thrust roller bearings
These one-directional axial bearings can accommodate heavy thrust loads, as well as radial loads of more than half (55%) of the thrust load. C&U spherical roller thrust bearings benefit from advanced technology manufacturing that maximizes their ability to support high axial loads at relatively high speeds, as well as compensate for misalignment or shaft deflection. C&U spherical roller thrust bearings are used in a range of applications, including pumps and gearboxes for off-road equipment.
Tapered roller bearings
Tapered bearings are equipped with truncated cone-shape rollers and fall into three types: small-cone angle, mid-cone angle, and large-cone angle. The larger the contact angle, the larger the axial load capacity. C&U tapered roller bearings are used in a wide variety of off-road applications and are designed to absorb force and maintain shaft alignment. They are built to run quietly and accurately, minimize friction, excel at high speeds, and provide long service life.
Water pump bearings
C&U water pump bearings incorporate the latest technologies and engineering for maximum durability and reliable pump operation in the toughest off-road conditions. Our water pump bearings are lightweight, compact, and facilitate high flow capacity and high rotary speeds in cooling water pumps. They offer excellent heat resistance, running accuracy and sealing performance. We offer double-row ball water pump bearings, single-row ball and single-row roller water pump bearings, and both single-row and double-row ball water pump bearings with an internal design changed to angular contact. The balls and rollers of C&U water pump bearings are generally made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel, and the materials of shafts and outer rings use case-hardened steel or high-carbon chromium bearing steel.Back to top
